Jim began his musical career as a youngster, forming his first band ‘The wild Outcasts’ while still at school. He is now a leading light of the southwest folk circuit as a multi instrumentalist in bands ‘Rooting Around’, ‘Pagan Gypsies’ and as part of the duo ‘Gritt and Gravell’. Jim only began playing the ukulele seriously in 2007, but brings a wealth of melodic ideas from his many years of violin and mandolin playing.
